Free information is difficult to locate when it comes to industry reports and industry financial reports and ratios. Sites such as Hoovers.com will offer some free information, but limit it until you either get a subscription or pay for each report. If you need help, please feel free to contact the MREIC, check into your local library or make a trip to the Truman State University Library.

SBTDC    This PDF file was developed to help any small business owner make an analysis of their business' industry. The file providies a step by step process and links to other helpful resources.
U.S.Census              The census provides overall industry information based on the business sector or industry. This is a good place to find general information on an industry. Not finding what you are looking for here? Also see Current Industry Reports.
Industry Reports Offers free industry reports to help business owners gain a better understanding of where the industry stands in comparison to their own.

Business Specific Information
Yellow Pages              With a free registration, Yellow Pages offers links to information on local and national businesses. 
Manta This site provides a variety of free information on small companies worldwide, which is provided by the companies themselves.
